Hostel Policies

Important Note:

  • Young Monk Hostel is a backpacker hostel that caters exclusively to guests aged 18 and above. We recommend that senior citizens and families explore alternative accommodations, as we reserve the right to deny admission to individuals who fall outside our target demographic. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.

  • For online bookings, we accept a maximum of 6 people. Please note that for group bookings, we cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room. Any bookings found to exceed the limit of 6 individuals for a group will be immediately canceled with no refund.

  • Specific policies may apply to different hostels under the brand at specific times of the year and the same shall be communicated at the time of check-in.

 

Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policies:

  • Payment modes accepted at our hostels: Cash, Debit card, Credit card and UPIs.

  • Kindly ensure that your credit/debit card information is up to date when making a booking. We reserve the right to cancel bookings if invalid credit/debit card details are not corrected within 24 hours or if payment is not made through a payment link received via email.

  • To confirm your reservation, we require 100% advance payment, which must be settled before check-in. Any cancellations or modifications to reservations must be communicated at least 7 days before the scheduled check-in time (12:00 PM).

  • Our cancellation policy grants guests the flexibility to cancel or modify their booking up to 7 days before the scheduled check-in date. Please note that any changes requested after this 7 days window will not be accommodated or entertained.

  • All refunds will incur a convenience service fee of 2% for Indian guests and 4% for all foreigners, in addition to applicable cancellation fees.

  • Any payment gateway charges paid during the time of booking are non-refundable.

  • There will be no refunds or discounts for early check-out or departure; the full amount for the entire stay will be forfeited. In the event of a no-show on the arrival date, you will not be eligible for any refund.

  • During peak seasons or festival periods, a 100% non refundable and advance payment is mandatory for confirmation. 

  • No transfer of bookings from one hostel to another shall be allowed. The guests shall have to cancel their bookings & subject to their corresponding cancellation periods, on their end, and make a fresh booking in order to change their dates.

  • This Cancellation policy is for direct booking only. For Online Travel Agents please prefer their cancellation policy. 

 

Check-in & Check-out Policies:

  • Check-in time is from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. If you plan to arrive after 11:00 PM, please inform us in advance; otherwise, your reservation may be marked as a no-show at 11:59 PM, and no check-in will be allowed after that time.

  • Check-out time is 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability. Please note that early check-in requests will not be considered before 7:00 AM.

  • If you anticipate arriving late at night (after 11:00 PM) or early in the morning, please reserve the previous night to avoid waiting in the common area. Ensure that you have a valid ID proof (Aadhar card & Passport) and proof of ongoing travel ready for check-in.

  • Right to admission is reserved.

Extension Policies:

  • If the guest wishes to extend their stay at any hostel then availing a reservation will be subject to availaibility.

  • The room would be provided at the ongoing rates on the website and not as per the rates at which the previous booking was made.

 

General Policies:

  • The use of drugs and any form of substance abuse is strictly prohibited within the property premises and its vicinity.

  • All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the dorms is strictly prohibited.

  • All our hostels are CCTV enabled for safety, security, and checks/audits reasons.

  • Alcohol consumption is allowed on the premises, subject to the discretion of the property management and local laws. Please contact the property manager before your arrival to confirm the alcohol policy.

  • Guests are not permitted to bring outsiders into the rooms; guests are only allowed in the common areas and cafes.Visitor (Non-resident guests) timings: 10 AM to 8 PM only.

  • In order to keep our accommodation costs as affordable as possible for all guests, we have adopted a pay-as-you-go system for certain amenities, such as locks, bath kits, and towels.

  • Hostel management shall not be held responsible for any loss of luggage or personal belongings. Guests shall make sure not to leave their belongings unattended at all times.

  • Meals aren’t included in the room tariff and it can be availed on a-la-carte basis at our in-house cafes. Cafe operations are seasonal, the same can be confirmed with the hostel reception at the time of check-in.

  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the rooms.

  • The use of cooking equipment inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.

  • We promote a self-service approach and do not provide luggage assistance or room services.

  • Guests shall be liable for any damage except normal wear and tear to hostel assets. Guest shall keep the hostel room in good condition, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness.

  • Power backup is available only at select locations and not at all areas.

  • Silent hours are observed between 00:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Loud music and noisy conversations in patios, lobbies, dorms, and outside rooms are not appreciated.

  • In the case of misbehavior or illegal activities, the property reserves the right to cancel your booking on the spot without any refund.

Travel Policies

Booking and Payment Policies:

  • Pay a non-refundable deposit of 2000/- (booking amount) 15 days before the tour date.

  • If booking within the last fifteen days, the 70% amount is required. Remaining 30% must be clear in cash on the first day of the tour.

  • Mail us the consent agreement provided by Young Monk Travel via your official email with a  signature, payment proof.

  • Prices quoted are for NEFT, IMPS, UPI transfers to the HDFC account.

  • For card payment please request the Young Monk Team for a payment link.

  • Payments via Payment Gateway (PG) incur a 2% additional charge.

  • Quoted costs don’t include ground costs, airfares, and exchange rates.

  • Prices may be amended due to factors like exchange rate fluctuations, increased fuel costs, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Any increase in prices must be paid before the departure date.

Cancellation and Refund Policies:

  • Email cancellation requests to youngmonktravel@gmail.com.

  • Booking Amount 2000/- is non refundable on all days.

  • Refunds are based on net amount paid :
        - 7 days before departure: Full amount refund excluding booking amount.
        - Less than 7 days before departure: No refund.

  • Payments via Payment Gateway (PG) incur a 2% additional charge. Non Refundable.

  • Participant replacement is not allowed.

  • Young Monk Travel reserves the right to cancel or change bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • In such cases where Young Monk Travel cancel the tour, a full refund, including all components paid, will be issued.

  • In case of force majeure or factors beyond control, Young Monk Travel may not refund the amount.

  • Early return expenses due to unforeseen circumstances are the participant's responsibility.

  • Young Monk Travel commits to safe evacuation but additional expenses are the participant's responsibility.

  • Young Monk Travel do not offer any insurance policy covering expenses related to sickness, accidents, or losses incurred due to theft or any other reasons.

  • Young Monk Travel, organizing mountain adventures, disclaims liability for accidents, injuries, illnesses, loss, or damages arising from acts, errors, omissions, or negligence not under its direct control.

  • Agreeing to our booking form implies adherence to the leader's authority.

  • The leader's decision on conduct, itinerary, and objectives is final.

  • Disruptive behavior may result in discontinuation without refund for unused services.

 

General Policies:

  • Tour timings vary; inquire before booking.

  • Adherence to timing is crucial; failure may result in being left behind without notice.

  • Post-tour activities are not Young Monk Travel's responsibility; undertaken at your own risk.

  • Carry ID proof (Aadhar card, Passport, License).

  • Children above 5 considered adults.

  • Hotel subject to availability; similar properties may be provided.

  • Prices per person on triple sharing basis; no gender-specific option. **

  • Inform in advance for single room; extra charges apply.

  • Airport entry charges are extra. *

  • Additional expenses before/after tour points not included.

  • Young Monk Travel owns tour-generated content for promotional use.

  • Strict prohibition: drinking and smoking for health and safety.
